How could this be happening? Our dog (Storm) just received her one year checkup in June and was given a clean bill of health. In shock by the news, we refused to put Storm down and defied the recommendation of our vet oncologist.

Bextra, also known as valdecoxib, is a prescription medicine known as a COX-2 Inhibitor. Like Vioxx and Celebrex, it supposedly lessen the pain of inflammation and fever without causing stomach irritation common to aspirin and other NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). Pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer released Bextra in 2001, and prescription sales soon rose to 3.2 billion dollars.

Acne is the all-encompassing term that refers to blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads and lumps on the skin. While its mostly associated with teenagers it is not necessarily restricted to any one age group. People of any age can suffer from acne.

Considered as one of the major disabling illnesses, allergies afflict more than 40 million people in the in United States alone. As you know, our immune system protects our body from all types of foreign substances and dangerous microorganisms, called antigens, like viruses, bacteria etc. It does this by producing a counter chemical called an antibody, which fights these antigens. The antibodies bind themselves to the antigens, which sets off a reaction. This reaction between antibody and antigen ignites a series of events, all designed to protect the body from infections.
